Inventiveness and engineering ability rapidly advanced
him to major roles in the aerospace industry.
From his design genius came these world famous aircraft:
the Admiral Flying Boats of the late 1920s, the Catalina
Flying Boat, the B-24 Liberator Bomber, the Mighty
Intercontinental B-36, and the agile Convair airliners.
Died 14 January 1976.
