	HUGO JUNKERS Pioneer German Aircraft Designer Civil Airline Advocate
	Born in Rneydt, Germany. Inventor and manufacturer of engines for industry, ships, aircraft. In 1915 developed first all metal internally braced cantilever aircraft. Established in 1921 the great aircraft industry which bears his name, launching a long line of famous passenger and freight planes. His corrugated duraluminium aircraft played a major role in expanding communication between nations through air commerce, and these rugged aircraft have touched literally every corner of the earth, opening remote areas to civilization.
	Elected to the International Aerospace Hall of Fame 1976
