Born in Waunakee, Wisconsin 27 March 1902. After a
barnstorming career in the 1920s and establishing
airmail routes through South America, moved to the
Territory of Alaska in 1932. With a single Fairchild
aircraft established Reeve Airways and became skilled
at delivering supplies to isolated mountain top mines
earning the apt title "Glacier Pilot". His recognition
of the importance of air commerce in the Artic Region led
him to develop a major airline -- Reeve Aleutian Airways --
which since the early days of WWII has been the lifeline
to the rugged Aleutians and Bering Sea areas -- and has
contributed significantly to the advance of the 49th
State. Died 25 August 1980.
