The Montebello Veterans Memorial is located on the north side of Montebello Park on Whittier Blvd between Park Ave and Taylor Ave. See map.



Montebello Constitution Bicentenial Monument

Located next to the Veterans Memorial is the Constitution Bicentenial Monument. It was dedicated to the people of the City of Montebello on October 10, 1987.

Each side has two panels. One side contains a panel with the Preamble of the U.S. Constitution and a listing of its Articles, and another panel outlines the Bill of Rights.

On the other side there is a panel with a list of major donors and Commision members, and another that contains text below:

Right to go into business for goods and services in a free market
Right to contract about our affairs
Right to the service of government as a protector and referee
Right to freedom from arbitrary government regulation and control
 
CONSTITUTIONAL GOVERNMENT
DESIGNED TO SERVE THE PEOPLE
 
FUNDAMENTAL BELIEF IN GOD
TO PERSONALLY UNDERSTAND AND MAINTAIN THE
AMERICAN WAY OF LIFE, TO HONOR IT BY HIS OWN
EXEMPLARY CONDUCT, AND TO PASS IT ON INTACT TO
SUCEEDING GENERATIONS IS THE RESPOSIBILITY
OF EVERY TRUE AMERICAN.
